Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry's Trolley Connection

posted Sep 2, 2015, 1:26 PM by Epiphany Lutheran Webmaster

Thursday, September 24th is the date for Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry's Trolley Connection.  The theme is "Journey to a Second Chance."  the day will follow the arc that individuals can take from incarceration to training to employment.  It will highlight LMM services that are available along the way including: Friend to Friend, Women's Re-Entry Network, Culinary Arts Training Program, and Employment Services.

The day will begin with registration and breakfast at 8:00 am at Dominion East Ohio on E. 55th Street.  The first stop will highlight the Community Re-Entry program.  The second stop will be the Richard Sering Center and the Culinary Arts Training Program with Chef Mark Jasiniski.  Lunch will follow with a presentation of LMM's Faithful Servant Award as well as the one from Lutherans Family Services.  The third and final site will hopefully be Progressive Field and highlight Delaware North's chefs and some of the students that have been hired there for the summer.  Both trolleys will follow the same route and end around 3:00 p.m. at Dominion.  Talk to Pastor Just for more information.

Mission Fair

posted Sep 2, 2015, 1:21 PM by Epiphany Lutheran Webmaster

On Saturday September 26, The United Methodist Church of Macedonia has invited us to take part in a Mission Fair to raise awareness of the mission opportunities available through the many congregations of the Nordonia Hills.  The Cabinet has accepted this invitation, and have chosen the Senior Grocery Project as the mission endeavor we will highlight.  We will need volunteers to be present and at our table at the fair, and volunteers to help put together ways that will make a visual impact for that table.  If you can invest some time and talent to help us prepare for this Mission Fair, please let us know.

Contemporary Worship

September 6, 2015 - Ephphatha! Be Opened
In two healing events, Jesus reveals how open we must be to whatever He needs to be doing in our                         lives

September 13, 2015 - The Son of man Must Suffer (Holy Communion)
Jesus predicts His Passion, and teaches us what is means to be the true Messiah

September 20, 2015 - The First Must Be Last
When the disciples begin to jostle for position and power, Jesus teaches them the meaning of
servanthood.  We need to learn that lesson, too.

September 27, 2015 - Don't Get in the Way (Holy Communion)
With all that distracts and leads us away from God's purpose, how do we get out of God's way to let                       His will happen?
